Building Walls for Rebuilding Lives!
The need for a roof and deliver as quickly as possible in operation care centers, schools and public buildings are of absolute importance after a disaster.
Since 2001, through its action programs around the world the Emergency Architects Foundation (UAF) has demonstrated that assistance to people in distress can not be limited only to providing food and care: rebuilding lives broken, but also allow the poor to find decent living conditions as soon as possible.
Its purpose is to provide advice and assistance to populations affected by natural disasters, technological or human, and more generally, in this context, to provide assistance to anyone in a state of physical or mental distress in France and abroad. It also participates in discussions conducted after any disaster, and can, by his interest in cultural heritage, intervene under heritage protection missions.
Representations of Emergency Architects in Canada (Montreal) and Switzerland (Geneva) were created to extend the action network.

AVSI Foundation, an NGO created in 1972, carries out cooperation projects for development, with particular emphasis on education. In its work, its attention is focused on the defense and promotion of the dignity of the person, the cornerstone of every project. We work all around the world thanks to a network of 35 founding members and more than 700 partners.
We have been in Haiti since 1999, following a request from the Apostolic Nuncio in support of the Agricultural Faculty of the Catholic University of Notre Dame d'Haiti in Les Cayes, today we work with projects on the island with socio-educational, human rights, food security and training projects.

ATD Fourth World has been working in one of the most underprivileged areas of Port-au-Prince for over 25 years. Our team consists of 11 Volunteer Corps members, eight of whom are Haitian.
Our work in Haiti seeks to give those living in extreme poverty the ability to access medical care, to educate their children, to meet, and to speak out. Our projects aim to give the families we work with the ability to overcome daily emergencies, and to develop long term projects.
Our projects with small children include Bébés Bienvenus (“Babies Welcome”), gatherings for children under three years of age and their parents, seeking to encourage the nutrition, health, and education of small children. Graines d’Espoir (“Seeds of Hope”), welcomes children from four to six years old to help prepare them for beginning primary school.
Our health projects include a collaboration with a Haitian NGO, Service Œcuménique d’Entraide (SOE), to guarantee access to healthcare for the most vulnerable families through a micro-insurance system.
Our education and training projects include a Street Library run in partnership with LAKOU Don Bosco, focused on boys who live on the streets. A computer workshop works with unemployed young people aged 18 to 30 who don’t have training. Knowledge sharing projects during school vacations bring together young people and artists. A reading group meets with university students to discuss questions relating to extreme poverty.
The Comite de rassemblement Quart Monde meets once a month to discuss questions relating to our team’s work and lives. Larger gatherings take place related to events like the 2010 earthquake or the research on the MDGs.
Libraries Without Borders (LWB) works to ensure that regardless of their circumstances, people throughout the world can live with dignity and the opportunity to thrive through access to information, education and culture.

The non-profit organization Cap Anamur / German Emergency Doctors eV, based in Cologne was founded in 1979, founded by Christel and Rupert Neudeck and some of their friends, including Heinrich Böll . Since then, we have provided humanitarian aid worldwide, even in places where media interest has long since subsided. Our focus is on medical care and access to education.

CARE was founded in 1945 when 22 American organizations came together to rush lifesaving CARE Packages to survivors of World War II. Thousands of Americans, including President Harry S. Truman, contributed to the effort. On May 11, 1946, the first 15,000 packages reached the battered port of Le Havre, France.
These early packages were U.S. Army surplus "10-in-1" food parcels intended to provide one meal for 10 soldiers during the planned invasion of Japan. We obtained them at the end of the war and began a service that let Americans send the packages to friends and families in Europe, where millions were in danger of starvation. Ten dollars bought a CARE Package and guaranteed that its addressee would receive it within four months.
Cesvi operates all over the world to support the most vulnerable populations in the promotion of human rights, in achieving their aspirations, for sustainable development. And he believes that the recognition of human rights contributes to the well-being of everyone on the planet, a common home to be preserved.
The aims of the association, defined in the current statute, are oriented to the planning, promotion and implementation of cooperation, emergency and rehabilitation programs for developing countries.
At present, Cesvi operates in over 30 countries distributed worldwide in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Balkans and the Middle East in sectors concerning children and youth, health, the environment, and sustainable development, access to water and environmental hygiene, humanitarian aid and social enterprise.
