Pastor Jean states, “The vision is to create A New Haiti through the strategic training and mentoring of Haitians, in partnership with the global community, in order to create healthy and sustainable Haitian families and communities. This vision can become a reality through the Haitian people loving and valuing themselves, and being loved and valued by others, just as God loves and values them.”

Aid for Haiti is built on a foundation of prayer and is committed to changing lives in Haiti through Christ-centered spiritual ministry, medical care, and training to equip Haitians to serve their own communitiesAid for Haiti was birthed out of an invitation to treat a rare condition affecting a village in a remote region of Haiti, when a group of like minded doctors were stirred to pioneer an organization that would, through prayer, combine the gospel of Christ, medical care and training for service to see lives changed and individuals released from physical suffering and spiritual bondage. Through all we do, we seek to glorify Jesus Christ and express his love to the Haitian people. Please consider joining us in this mission.

On Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 4:53pm the nation of Haiti was ravaged with an earthquake that measured 7.0. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the town of Leogane. The residents of Leogane and the nation of Haiti will never be the same.
Soon after the earthquake, the Georgia Baptist Convention sent a scouting team to see how we as Baptists churches from the U.S. could minister to the people of Leogane. They rented a house in the city, affectionately named it the Georgia House and began to bring teams into minister to those devastated by the disaster.
In partnership with the Georgia Baptist Convention, Baptists 4 Haiti, Inc. is continuing the ministry started by GBC Disaster Relief. Baptists 4 Haiti took over the Georgia House and the surrounding ministries in November 2011 and started full swing with volunteers in February this year. Since February we have had over 150 volunteers who have ministered to more than 5,000 Haitian people. So far our missionaries and teams have had the privilege of being involved in leading 57 people to a new relationship with Jesus Christ! These teams have built a roof for a church, a kitchen for an orphanage and completed their well, and have been able to meet physical needs of nearly 1,500 Haitian people through mobile medical clinics.
We have committed to rebuilding 26 homes and 15 churches. It is our prayer that many more churches, ministries, and individuals will come alongside to support and partner with our efforts. We are looking for 100 churches and organizations to partner with us to continue God’s ministry to the people of Leogane, Haiti. We are asking for each church or organization to contribute at least $1,000, pray, and send teams throughout the year. Will you help? Either by partnering financially or sending teams or both!
We would like to thank the following churches, individuals, families, and associations who are partnering with us.

During my repeated travels to Haiti, I've seen the conditions in my homeland continually deteriorate, and in fact, reach the depths of despair after the earthquake that ravaged the region. I am called to take action. I must make a difference. My heart cannot bear the hopelessness and despair of my countrymen and fellow human beings. In fulfillment to my calling from God, I am taxed with the daunting task of establishing a school and orphanage in Léogâne, Haiti, one of the most devastated areas of the country.
I pledge to do everything in my power to create a successful mission with the help of God, my family, and those willing to assist me.

Our mission arose from a result of a tent city being bulldozed and 500 families being displaced once again. Bonswa Haiti has purchased land in Croix de Bouquets and is designing a village so that Haitians will be able to own their home. The community will include a newly built church, a well (for fresh water), a bakery (for revenue) and gardens (for food). This new village will be managed by a resident's council and overseen by Bonswa.
