Catholic priest, Fr. Giordano Belanich, founded Croatian Relief in 1992 to mobilize humanitarian aid for the victims of the wars in Croatia and Bosnia. By organizing the Croatian diaspora community in the United States and throughout the world, Croatian Relief Services was able to aid tens of thousands of individuals affected by this disaster.
As the violence in the Balkans died down, Croatian Relief Services continued its outreach to victims of war, natural disaster, and extreme poverty throughout the world, and has had a positive impact on countless lives. In 2010, after a catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Croatian Relief Services opened the Cardinal Stepinac Children’s Home. The Children’s Home provides a loving and nurturing environment for over 40 orphaned and abandoned children, and has become a focal point of our mission. Croatian Relief Services continues to provide humanitarian assistance for the poorest of the poor in Croatia, Haiti, and throughout the world.

Disciples' Village is a non-profit organization striving to change the life of those living in Haitian third world villages. We believe in long term, comprehensive village advancement with the Gospel at the heart of everything we do. Through village leadership, education, job opportunities, water filtration, medical help, discipleship, sanitation, and safe housing, we help break the cycle of darkness and poverty that pervades Haiti.
We believe in investing heavily in the villages of Haiti; giving long-term direction, support and training.
Our main campus in Kaliko operates as a central hub. From it, we partner with villages all over Haiti to support pastors, offer free education to children, and improve living conditions. Through these means, we strive toward the goal of making disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our Mission
1. Provide direct health care to the underprivileged and isolated through the Mobile Health Clinic.
2. Supply basic drinking water to those in desperate need who live in the hills of Dufresnay, Haiti.
3. Partner with Ginette's orphanage to provide essential housing and basic support to disadvantaged girls.
