On Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 4:53pm the nation of Haiti was ravaged with an earthquake that measured 7.0. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the town of Leogane. The residents of Leogane and the nation of Haiti will never be the same.
Soon after the earthquake, the Georgia Baptist Convention sent a scouting team to see how we as Baptists churches from the U.S. could minister to the people of Leogane. They rented a house in the city, affectionately named it the Georgia House and began to bring teams into minister to those devastated by the disaster.
In partnership with the Georgia Baptist Convention, Baptists 4 Haiti, Inc. is continuing the ministry started by GBC Disaster Relief. Baptists 4 Haiti took over the Georgia House and the surrounding ministries in November 2011 and started full swing with volunteers in February this year. Since February we have had over 150 volunteers who have ministered to more than 5,000 Haitian people. So far our missionaries and teams have had the privilege of being involved in leading 57 people to a new relationship with Jesus Christ! These teams have built a roof for a church, a kitchen for an orphanage and completed their well, and have been able to meet physical needs of nearly 1,500 Haitian people through mobile medical clinics.
We have committed to rebuilding 26 homes and 15 churches. It is our prayer that many more churches, ministries, and individuals will come alongside to support and partner with our efforts. We are looking for 100 churches and organizations to partner with us to continue God’s ministry to the people of Leogane, Haiti. We are asking for each church or organization to contribute at least $1,000, pray, and send teams throughout the year. Will you help? Either by partnering financially or sending teams or both!
We would like to thank the following churches, individuals, families, and associations who are partnering with us.

The primary purpose of For Haiti, with Love, Inc. is to make life better for the poorest of the poor – now, and to help them help themselves. Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. Things have only gotten worse with a major food shortage. There are no jobs and the international community is withholding aid. Haiti’s poor need jobs, they need food, education, homes and above all, they need hope. By providing food and free medical care for burns and other emergencies the people are back able to provide for themselves, with funding for cottage business start-ups, we help make that possible. FHL provides funds for basic education of reading, writing, and math through tuitions; cover personal emergencies like funerals, x-rays, special medications to give dignity. Provide clothing and shoes, proper home (when funding permits) all to add self- respect and feeling of independence.

“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be save, but whoever does not believe will be condemned” Mark 16:15-16
God’s mission is our mission! We are evangelizing remote areas of Haiti, sharing the Gospel through various means, making disciples of new converts, planting churches, and distributing Bibles.
As we go out on “God’s Mission” specifically for what He is calling us to, the amount of grace given by God is always overwhelming. As we see more people come on board here and in Haiti, the multiplier effect of what God is doing through His people is over and above what we can ask or imagine.

Gospel Driven Direction
As believers and followers of Jesus Christ, we desire to obey the call of the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” – Matthew 28:19-20.
A Focus on Education and Leadership
The way we are making disciples is through the means of education, by focusing on two aspects.
First, we are discipling teachers to be effective disciple makers, to model Christ likeness in the classroom and become experts in the field of education.
Secondly, through an academic/leadership school. Gospel Haiti school was founded in 2014 and is a training ground for future leaders who will serve in the name of Christ. Whether students leave our school to become pastors, teachers, lawyers, doctors, politicians or other leadership positions, our hope is that they will be future leaders in the name of Christ, fulfilling Christ’s call for their lives. This is how we intend to fulfill the great commission.
