The beginnings of Voices for Haiti date back to 1996, while Pastor Augustave was serving as the pastor of a small Seventh Day Adventist congregation in Long Island, NY. With the help of his congregation and the Southern Mission of Seventh Day Adventist headquarters in Port-au-Prince, Pastor Augustave began shipping barrels of resources to Haiti. From this partnership began what was to become a regular shipment of resources for relief from cities and communities around the United States to Haiti’s affected areas.
