The France Volontaires platform was born on October 1st 2009 on the base of the French Association of Volunteers of Progress (AFVP). Its purpose is to promote and develop the various forms of commitment under the International Voluntary and Exchange Volunteers (VIES) and to contribute to their implementation. This project is expressed in the respect of the values set out in the common charter to which the volunteer sending organizations and themselves adhere. She is also a member of the Civic Service Public Interest Group and contributes to the development of the Civic Service, as part of its international component.

Upon her return from a medical mission trip to Haiti, Summer of 2014, Serena wanted to return someday so she could give the children recorders. Serena was passionate about all types of music and wanted to share her love with the culture she embraced.
Her friends and family will continue her brilliant philanthropy, Harmonics for Haiti. Serena’s legacy is just beginning.

Having previously accompanied a medical mission and worked in Haiti, Watters was determined to create a strong student organization at the University of Delaware that would advocate and fundraise for healthcare projects in Haiti.

Besides recruiting and infusing volunteers to other nonprofit organizations, Volunteer Haiti offers and develops new services such as, disaster preparedness, and free foreign language tutoring to high school/ college students, professional, and individuals who are looking for tutors who speak French, Spanish, Creole etc.

Volunteer Haiti was founded in 2015 by a group of AmeriCorps VISTA members and College students that have combined positive and fresh ideas to develop and implement a new volunteer social network, which envisions to make a difference in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Jacksonville Florida.
