As believers and followers of Jesus Christ, we desire to obey the call of the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" - Matthew 28:19-20.
A Focus on Education and Leadership
The way we are making disciples is through the means of education, by focusing on two aspects.
First, we are discipling teachers to be effective disciple makers, to model Christ likeness in the classroom and become experts in the field of education.
Secondly, through an academic/leadership school. Gospel Haiti school was founded in 2014 and is a training ground for future leaders who will serve in the name of Christ. Whether students leave our school to become pastors, teachers, lawyers, doctors, politicians or other leadership positions, our hope is that they will be future leaders in the name of Christ, fulfilling Christ's call for their lives. This is how we intend to fulfill the great commission.

We believe transforming the world happens one student at a time. Our efforts are focused on Haiti where there is no national public education system and many teachers often go unpaid for their important role in society. The impact on the children is tremendous. Only two thirds of children attend primary school. Of those, only one third complete their elementary education. Partnering with My Neighbors Children, we are raising money to support the 40 teachers and staff at Bethany Christian School in Cayes Jacmel, Haiti, who serve 450 students, 1st – 13th grades. Teachers are paid between $100-$120/month. The cost for each student's education is about $10/month. Because Haiti for the World is staffed by volunteers, all of your support will go to aid the staff and students in Haiti.

We are committed to funding teacher salaries at College Mixte Marius Carnold so students can stay in school regardless of their ability to pay, providing job security and training to the teachers, and hope to the community. We lead groups of adults and students on summer trips to build ties with the Haitian community through construction projects, games, art, music and sport. We provide business training and entrepreneurial support to adults. Emphasis is on team work and cooperation in order to establish a genuine long term partnership with the schools and the community.

Northern Haiti Sustainability Initiative, Incorporated (NHSI) was founded to provide for the long-term sustainability of schools in Northern Haiti. An unfortunate reality is that many schools in Haiti are constructed with no plan for sustaining daily operations. NHSI provides training and funds to properly budget and finance teacher wages, books, school supplies, an on- campus water source, and daily student meals. Teacher training is provided to raise the quality of education, including each school's ability to perform successfully on government tests. NHSI requires rigid budgetary discipline backed by strict expense documentation for all supported schools. An integral component of each school's long-term success is the financial and hands-on participation of the students' parents and local community.
