The Friends of Haiti, Inc. (TFOHI) is an IRS-authorized 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, organized and operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. Specifically, this organization has been formed to: (a) provide relief to the poor, distressed, and underprivileged, and (b) advance education in the country of Haiti. Our organization has designed and developed a program to further advance our purposes.
The Friends of Haiti, Inc. helps the people of Haiti who are poor and most at risk. We support schools in Haiti with school supplies and a specific program of tuition assistance for the needy Haitian students. Our tuition assistance specifically targets the school for nurses and doctors. Haiti is in need of professional medical staff to assist in providing quality healthcare. We can think of no better area to find these professionals than in the country of Haiti itself. Therefore, we have sought to create a means to help encourage the people of Haiti to not only gain much needed education, but also for these educated Haitians to then give something back to their own country.

The Monrovia Foundation for Haiti was founded in 2012 with a goal of helping the poor and disadvantaged people of Miragoane, Haiti by providing access to better education and helping to improve living conditions. Prior to formally founding the Monrovia Foundation for Haiti as a Non Profit 501(c) (3), its founders had been privately supporting the people of Miragoane, Haiti since 1989. Through the generous support of people from around the nation - and the world, we have been able to pay tuition for hundreds of schoolchildren each year. The Monrovia Foundation for Haiti has also donated computer equipment, school supplies and other educational necessities.
Our mission is ongoing, and our commitment to helping this community rise above its physical, environmental, and cultural challenges is unwavering. We believe that access to education is the key to Haiti's future.
