Friends of Hope International, Inc was founded by Esteban Almonte, Carmen L. Fernandez & Liony Batista. Having worked in humanitarian disaster relief, project development and the collaboration of sustainable projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, Mr. Batista, Mrs. Fernandez & Mr. Almonte felt the need to work independently with a group of like-minded individuals to help empower others to forge their way out of poverty.
Our organization has been created to work with vulnerable and at-risk youth in Latin America and the Carribean; provide food asistance to impoverished communities and create self-sustainable animal husbandry, agricutlure and technical projects which would provide a source of income and empower people to move forward. We work primarily through local churches and humanitarian organizations. We also provide GIK donations to more than 300 beneficiaries throughout latin america and the caribbean.
We Organize, supervise and provide logistics for humanitarian missions trips to Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and United States.

Inspired by our Christian values and in response to the Great Commission, we have identified and introduced three principal solutions to all the needs of the people, the communities and the countries that we serve: Jesus, Education, Work (JOB). Mama Luca was born in St Marc but was raised in the heart of Port Au Prince. She had 15 children which she raised with her husband Luc of over 55 years. Her passion for helping others started at a young age and became her life mission as an adult. When she moved to the United States she encouraged all of her children and grandchildren to help feed the homeless. Despite how little the family had, if someone was hungry she found a way to feed, clothe and encourage them. Her door was always open and her own children were witness to this time and time again, that “no” wasn’t an option when there was a need. Her compassion for the needy was something that she taught others by leading through action and ingrained in anyone who encounter her. It taught them how to share, love from the heart and lead by example. Mama Luca’s legacy lives on through this foundation which was founded by her grandson Jason Derulo and Co-Founded by his mother Joyce. The Just For You Foundation is the product of love passed down through the many generations of Mama Luca’s family.

Haiti is a nation that has been and is devestated by the powers of darkness. Missions in Haiti was started in 2000 with the purpose of setting Haiti on a different course. We aim to accomplish this by targeting the country's biggest need—its children. Although the entire nation is steeped in poverty, the children suffer the worst. Thousands are malnutritioned, uneducated, and headed for hopeless lives apart from Christ.

Time4Haiti was founded by 6 individuals from across the globe whose hearts have been stirred to discern ways to promote lasting change in Minoterie, Haiti and beyond. Our mission is to transform, inspire, mentor, and empower Haitians by God’s grace through development and education. Through close relationships that have formed throughout our years of serving individually in Haiti, we have come to understand the difficulties and struggles faced by individuals living in this impoverished country.
