Mission: Haiti is a faith-based 501c3 non-profit, tax-exempt corporation that grew out of the Florida-Georgia District of the Lutheran Church. It is registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs and files an annual report with the State of Florida, which can be viewed on that website. Mission: Haiti promotes self-sufficiency projects, medical care, nutritional and educational programs, and health education for children and families.
Mission: Haiti has been working in Haiti since 1999, so it seemed natural to respond to the great need after the earthquake. Disaster relief supplies came in from all over the US and several foreign countries to fill fourteen 40 shipping containers. Through our combined efforts, relief supplies reached more than 6 different Haitian organizations serving the neediest. Our medical teams to Leogane and Gonaives treated more than two thousand injured and sick.
