The Haiti Cardiac Alliance started as the “Right to Health Care” program of Partners In Health, and we originally focused our efforts entirely upon flying Haitian children with life-threatening medical conditions to overseas hospitals for surgical care. In 2013, with the solidarity and encouragement of Partners In Health, Haiti Cardiac Alliance was launched as an independent organization, continuing the work of the “Right to Health Care” program while going beyond it to help develop a comprehensive national approach to cardiac care in Haiti.
Our full-time staff includes:
Owen Robinson, Executive Director
Kessy Acceme, Haiti Patient Coordinator
Dr. Samantha Lacossade, Patient Social Worker
Steeve Andre, Patient Social Worker
We are also grateful for the tireless commitment of our team of core volunteers, who are donating hundreds of hours of their expertise in areas including pediatric cardiology; internal medicine; program administration; clinical social work; website development; database development; graphic design; and fundraising.
